K–12 Student Visits
Docent-guided visits allow students to form meaningful connections with works of art through close looking and interactive gallery experiences, including sketching, writing, group discussion, and more. Led by trained volunteers, these visits encourage critical and creative thinking while addressing all learning styles.

The Museum also provides opportunities for self-guided groups to independently explore the Museum’s collection and special exhibitions. Self-guided visits are available during regular Museum hours only: Tuesday–Sunday, 11–5; Thursday, 11–9; closed Mondays.

Gallery Talks and Tours
The Dallas Museum of Art presents an array of talks and tours exploring art from around the world and throughout time with distinguished artists, scholars, and artistic leaders.

Self-Guided Tours
In the collection, the DMA has over 23,000 works of art from around the world and throughout time, spanning 5,000 years of human creativity. It is a big museum, so start your visit with a bite-sized tour.

Please note, some Museum programs take place in the galleries. If your group plans to visit a gallery space where a public program is scheduled or underway, we ask that your group please return to that gallery after the program is over.

Smartphone Tours
Bring your own web-enabled device (such as an iPhone or Blackberry) to the Museum, and visit to explore the DMA with a smartphone tour.
