Access Programs

The DMA is everyone's museum, and we welcome visitors of all ages and abilities to discover the power of art! We currently offer the following programs for visitors with special needs:

Autism Awareness Family Celebrations: a morning at the museum just for children on the Autism Spectrum and their families
Art Beyond Sight: an annual celebration of visual awareness with programs for all ages
Meaningful Moments: a monthly program for those with early-stage dementia and their caregivers
Meaningful Moments for Groups: a program for residents of care facilities specializing in memory care

Autism Awareness Family Celebrations

Saturday, February 7, 9:00–11:00 a.m.

The Dallas Museum of Art's Autism Awareness Family Celebrations provide a safe, comfortable way to introduce the Museum to children with autism and their families. Pre-registered families can visit the Museum free of charge and enjoy activities before the Museum opens to the public. Event registration required. Meaningful Moments

Every third Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Designed specifically for individuals with early stage dementia and their family members or caregivers, Meaningful Moments is a monthly program that offers the chance to relax and connect with art in the galleries, share stories, and gain inspiration.
