C3 Adult Art Workshops

Join us for C3 Artistic Encounters, the Open Studio, and Think Creatively in the Center for Creative Connections (C3) to experience art in new ways! C3 adult workshops are held in the Center for Creative Connections Art Studio or Tech Lab (unless otherwise noted). Registration is required. Click here to register for classes. Meaningful Moments 

Designed specifically for individuals with early stage dementia and their family members or caregivers, Meaningful Moments is a monthly program that includes a gallery discussion, an interactive component, and an art-making activity in the Art Studio. Participants will have the chance to relax and connect with art in the galleries, share stories, and gain inspiration.

Saturate yourself in this hands-on fabric dyeing workshop with guest artist Amie Adelman. Explore the beautiful textiles from the DMA's collection and create your own dyed work of art! 


Think Creatively with Dr. Magdalena Grohman

Selected Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Give your brain a boost and discover the power to expand your creativity. Join creativity expert Magdalena Grohman, Ph.D., for this workshop where you will exercise your brain with creative thinking tools and then explore your new skills with an art experience. All materials provided.


C3 Artistic Encounter: Poetry and Light with Will Richey

Thursday, May 8, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Spoken Word artist and creative arts educator Will Richey will lead participants on a creative journey of light and expression in this special artistic encounter focused on light from the DMA’s special exhibition Nur: Light and Science from the Islamic World.

Available for 18 and older.


C3 Open Studio

Experiment in an open studio environment with materials provided for you to continue projects or explore new ones. Registration is required and is for an adult audience only.
