Big New Field: Artists in the Cowboys Stadium Art Program

In anticipation of Super Bowl XLV in February, 2011 at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, the Dallas Museum of Art will premiere an exhibition in December in honor of the Cowboys Stadium Art Program. This exhibition will feature works by the artists represented in the groundbreaking contemporary art program at the spectacular new Dallas Cowboys Stadium. Artists include Olafur Eliasson, Annette Lawrence, Franz Ackermann, Lawrence Weiner, Teresita Fernandez, Trenton Doyle Hancock, and Dave Muller, to name a few. The internationally important collection, initiated by Gene and Jerry Jones and the Jones family, is one of the most innovative and ambitious public art programs in the world. In addition to celebrating the art in the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, this exhibition highlights the emergence of North Texas as a leader in innovation in art and architecture of the present moment.

Big New Field: Artists in the Cowboys Stadium Art Program is organized by the Dallas Museum of Art. The presentation is made possible by TWO X TWO for AIDS and Art, an annual fundraising event that jointly benefits amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research and the Dallas Museum of Art.
