No. Your current admission benefits are valid until your current expiration date. Your admission benefits at the Senior level will stay the same. It will be for two adult admissions and any children 17 and under. No. Your membership will have twenty-four months added to your current expiration date. If you are upgrading, your enhanced benefits begin July 1. My children are under 12. Do I have to upgrade to the Sustainer level to get their admission for free? No; however, we do suggest that you upgrade to Sustainer to include them in Kids Club. We encourage only having two cards printed but will print up to four cards for individuals living in the same household. We understand that you may have young children who will come with their nanny or college-age children who are home for the holidays or during the summer. We are happy to print them a card with the understanding that if they bring the allotted amount of admissions for the day, if you come the same day, you will have to pay. No, the DMA will no longer print cards for children under 12 unless their nanny will be bringing them to the Museum. Printing and mailing costs are steadily increasing and the DMA is trying to go green. If you have had cards for children under 12 printed in the past, we will continue printing them for you out of courtesy. No. Memberships are specifically designed for you and your needs. We ask that memberships be purchased per address. If you have shared a membership with a friend in the past, we will allow you to “grandfather in” to share a membership at the Dual level or below. No, your admissions are not valid for group tours booked through the group sales department. The ticket fee you will be asked to pay will cover the concierge service for booking your group. Contributor level members and higher receive one complimentary docent-led tour per membership year. If you are at the Contributor level or higher, please call 214-922-1800 to book your tour (based on availability; must give three weeks' notice). If you are not at the Contributor level, call 214-922-1247 to upgrade your membership. We ask not to print cards for nannies. We will print a card for your child who will be coming with the nanny. How long will it take to receive my membership card? It typically takes two weeks to receive your new welcome packet, including your membership card, although this can very depending on the time of year or how busy our office is at any given time. Please factor in time if you mailed in your renewal form; the process begins when we receive your renewal in the mail. In the meantime, please feel free to visit the Museum. Just stop at the Member Services Desk in the main Concourse of the Museum. The Member Services associate can look up your membership and give you daily passes. If you are asked to pay upon entering the parking garage, please do so; we can give you a voucher to receive the $10 back from the parking attendant on your way out. My card has been lost/stolen. For member preview days, you receive the number of admissions allowed per your membership. For evening or special events, including Friends group events, encore! events, Kids Club events, and Book Talk events, you receive one, two, or four admissions per event based on your membership level unless otherwise noted on the invitation. If you wish to bring additional admissions, an additional cost may apply. How do I find out about Museum events? As a member, you will receive the Dallas Museum of Art Magazine four times a year. We also advise that you frequently check the Events for Members page for specific member events. Be sure we have your e-mail address so that you can receive monthly e-newsletters. Your membership number is printed on your membership card. If you cannot locate your number, please contact Member Services at 214-922-1247 or e-mail us at membership@DallasMuseumofArt.org. What if I visit with five friends during the day but that evening I come back and enjoy Late Night with the family. Will we still be able to come in for free? Each Sustainer and Friend level membership is allowed six admissions per day. Once those admissions have been used, you will not receive any additional admissions that day. In the above situation, the answer is no. You will have to pay for your Late Night admission tickets. I have a Dual membership under my name and my husband’s name. If my husband does not come with me that day, can I bring a guest? The Dual membership receives two admissions per day. Only one member needs to be present to claim these admissions; however, if one member uses both admissions for themselves and a guest, the second member will have to pay admission for the day. Why am I paying the same $75 and getting fewer benefits for my money? I pay more ($90) for fewer benefits. We have divided the $75 Member level into two new levels in order to better address the needs of our members. A member now has more options for admission benefits. No. We ask that up to four cards are printed per membership. If you have children who would not come on their own, we can add them as joint members in the database as long as you provide the child's day and year of birth. My wife and I each have our own $75 membership. Can we combine these to upgrade to the $125 level? Unfortunately, we cannot upgrade you, but we can combine the memberships and extend your expiration date accordingly. Yes, and your expiration date will be extended accordingly. Can I upgrade my current membership? Yes, you can upgrade your current membership at any time. There are many advantages to upgrading; most members upgrade so they can attend additional events and special invitation-only previews specifically designed for the higher levels. I have a membership at another museum with reciprocal privileges at the DMA. How many admissions am I entitled to? If you are a reciprocal member, you are entitled to two adult admissions to the DMA. Special exhibition charges may apply. If I use my reciprocal membership at other museums, will I still be able to get six admissions? Most museums only allow two admissions per membership. Each museum creates its own reciprocal policy. We recommend calling ahead when making plans. How do I know when my membership expires? Your expiration date of membership will be printed on your membership card. All memberships are valid for one year. As your expiration date nears, you will receive renewal notices from us in the mail or by e-mail, highlighting our upcoming exhibition schedule and special events. Why should I renew on the first renewal letter when my membership hasn’t expired yet? Your renewal form is mailed out before the expiration date so that you don’t miss any member opportunities or happenings at the Museum. By renewing on your first notice, you also save the Museum time and money by not having to process further renewal notices for you. Online using the Join Now feature. Enter your information first and the gift recipient second. If you enter their information first it will appear that they are buying the gift for you. You may also purchase gift memberships on-site at the Member Services Desk in the main Concourse of the Museum or by phone 214-922-1247. I called the membership line (214-922-1247) but got an answering machine. Now what?
