Join Scott Winterrowd, Curator of Education, Meadows Museum, Southern Methodist University, for a tour exploring American art of the Twenties on view in the Youth and Beauty exhibition.
Studio Creations
1:00 – 3:30 p.m., Art Studio, C3
View works of art in the collection and in the Youth and Beauty exhibition before creating a work of art in the studio inspired by American artists working in the 1920s.
Performance in the Galleries featuring Elledanceworks
2:00 p.m., South Concourse
Elledanceworks will perform an original dance composition created for and inspired by the Youth and Beauty exhibition.

Film: On with the Show! (1929)

The 1920s produced some of the most memorable silent films before the "talkies" took over the theater. Join us for screenings of a few of these classic silent films.

Pandora's Box (1929)

Playing her seminal role as Lulu, Louise Brooks portrays a siren who captivates the men in her path, including a father and son, but her amoral ways lead to encounters with unsavory characters in Berlin.

The Man Who Laughs (1928)

Based on Victor Hugo's novel and well known for the striking appearance of the main character, this romantic melodrama follows the love story of Gwynplaine and Dea through the carnivals and royal courts of 17th-century England. This film is not rated. (110 min)

Urban Armor: Black-and-White Photography Workshop with Teresa Rafidi

Join photographer Teresa Rafidi for this special black-and-white digital photography workshop for teens. Rafidi will lead teens through the Youth and Beauty: Art of the American Twenties exhibition, taking a closer look at classic black-and-white images, followed by a photography workshop.
