Exhibition Workshop

Thursday, March 8: The Art of Language: Mark Manders and Elliott Hundley
7:00–9:00 p.m., Dallas Museum of Art and Nasher Sculpture Center
Tickets: $15 for adults; $10 for DMA and Nasher members

Explore connections between language and visual art in this workshop examining the work of contemporary artists Mark Manders and Elliott Hundley. Led by Farid Matuk, poet, and Dr. Cynthia King, an English professor at UNT, as well as staff from the DMA and the Nasher, participants will discover each artist’s unique relationship to language and then respond to the exhibitions through writing. The workshop will begin at the DMA and end at the Nasher; light refreshments provided.


C3 Artistic Encounters

Join us for C3 Artistic Encounters in the Center for Creative Connections (C3) to experience art in new ways! C3 Artistic Encounters are held in the Center for Creative Connections Art Studio or Tech Lab (unless otherwise noted). They are included in general admission but registration is required. Think Creatively!: Associative Minds—Associations
Artists, scientists, and inventors use creative thinking tools—how about you? Give your creativity a boost and discover the power to transform your imagination into a work of art. Join creativity expert Magdalena Grohman, Ph.D. for this workshop where we practice using creative thinking tools and then get the chance to put our new skills to use with an art project. This month we will focus on associations.

February 23: Agence 5070: Acoustic Shadows
Join artists Frank and Lee Dufour (Agence 5070) for an inside look at their creative process. Then have the chance to create an original work of art of your own, inspired by their installation, Acoustic Shadows

Tech Lab Workshops

The Tech Lab is a space in the Center for Creative Connections at the Dallas Museum of Art where technology and art meet. It is also a space where you can experiment with current technologies and create original work during special classes, workshops, and programs.
