What’s in the Center?

This unique 12,000-square-foot learning environment provides interactive encounters with original works of art and artists for visitors of all ages.

c3_eiffel tour   Art – Eleven original works of art from the Museum’s collection are the focus of the Encountering Space exhibition. Fun and innovative displays will help you learn about the objects in a new way.

Tech Lab- The Tech Lab is a place where art and technology meet. Join us for a workshop or just drop-in during normal Museum hours.

Theater –Join us in the C3 Theater to see a rotating variety of films daily. Come see lectures and storytellers hosted regularly in the C3 Theater.

 Art Studio – Drop in for adult and children’s art-making events as well as classes, workshops, and summer programs.

Young Learners Gallery: Encountering Space for Kids – This space is designed for children ages 5–8 and their adult companions. It is a place where you, your family, and your friends can have fun playing together with space.

History

On Saturday, May 3, 2008, the Dallas Museum of Art premiered the Center for Creative Connections, a dynamic place for new interactive learning experiences that offers visitors unique ways to engage with works of art and artists with a special focus on the Museum's collections.
