The Dallas Museum of Art offers eight nine-month paid internship positions in the Education and Curatorial Divisions. These internships are intended for those individuals who wish to explore a career in museum work. Projects assigned involve considerable responsibility and will provide opportunities for the contribution of individual work. While the Museum does not guarantee employment after the internship, these positions have led many interns to careers in the museum field.

Summer Art Camp Internships

The Dallas Museum of Art will offer three paid positions in the Family Experiences Department for Summer 2011. The interns report to the Manager of Family Experiences and Access Programs and to the Coordinator of Family Programs. The primary responsibility is to run the day-to-day Summer Art Camp programs that take place in both the galleries and the studio. This position directs students to their classes, supervises check-in and check-out procedures, and assists instructors during class. The interns will work with a variety of art camps designed for students ages 4–12 during the Dallas Museum of Art’s Summer Art Camp program.

The application deadline has passed.
