2012-2013 McDermott InternshipsMade possible by the Eugene McDermott Education FundThank you for your applications. The deadline has now passed for the 2012-2013 McDermott Internship Program. Museum staff will now review all submitted materials and determine those applicants who will be selected for an interview. Those selected for an interview will be contacted in mid-April and final selections for the internship will be made by mid-May. We wish all applicants the best in their future endeavors. .............................. The Dallas Museum of Art offers eight nine-month paid internship positions in the Education and Curatorial Divisions. These internships are intended for those individuals who wish to explore a career in museum work. Projects assigned involve considerable responsibility and will provide opportunities for the contribution of individual work. While the Museum does not guarantee employment after the internship, these positions have led many interns to careers in the museum field.
 Summer Art Camp InternshipsThe Dallas Museum of Art is offering four internship positions in the Family Experiences Department for summer 2012, each with a $500 honorarium. The interns will work with an art instructor and assist with the Summer Art Camp programs designed for students age 4–12. Interns will learn how to guide students in art-making activities and assist instructors during class, building their hands-on teaching skills.
